Curacao iGaming Reform 2026: How the New National Ordinance on Games of Hazard Affects Crypto Casino Operators

Under the new framework, every B2C operator must apply directly to the Curacao Gaming Control Board for a Curacao Gaming License (CGL). License applicants are required to submit audited financial statements, AML policies meeting FATF standards, player fund segregation evidence, and technical certification of their random number generation systems. Application fees are set at ANG 50,000 (approximately $27,800 USD) with an annual renewal fee of ANG 100,000.

Non-compliance after September 1, 2026 will result in automatic license suspension. Operators wishing to continue serving markets in Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden will need to demonstrate Curacao CGL compliance as part of those jurisdictions' recognition processes.
